Elite Interiors
Shipping & Freight

Elevator interior components will arrive in wooden crates marked with the contents, job name, and elevator number (if applicable). Each elevator will be crated separately and typically be contained in two crates. One crate will contain wall panels, reveals, base (toe kick), handrail(s), and hardware. Another crate will contain the ceiling. A packing slip, installation guide, and drawings will be affixed to the outside of one crate.

All shipments will be sent ground via FedEx Freight F.O.B our facility in St. Petersburg, FL.

Once all information is received, a confirmation will be sent with a ship date and freight cost.

PRIOR TO ACCEPTING DELIVERY, INSPECT THE CRATES FOR ANY DAMAGE. IF A CRATE HAS VISUAL DAMAGE, DO NOT ACCEPT CRATE(S) WITHOUT A THOROUGH INSPECTION OF ALL CONTENTS.

After inspection, if contents have damage, do not accept delivery of crate(s) in question and mark the bill of lading as “Reject Ceiling Crate” or "Reject Wall Finishes Crate”. The crate will be returned to our facility and new materials will be sent.

If the driver will not allow an inspection of contents, refuse to accept the delivery of suspect crate(s).

Call our facility immediately to make us aware of any problem.

Once crates are accepted from carrier, Retro Elevator is no longer responsible for any damage to material.

STORAGE

If material is to be stored prior to installation, precaution should be taken to protect the finishes from moisture, dust, solvents, and extreme temperatures.
